Apel-Bacher Park Jefferson County Open Space Funded this Project,
through the City of Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreations Department.
Alpine completed
this complete park and
playground restoration in 4 weeks.
The existing sod was removed and
a new concrete retaining wall was installed, with new playground
approved tumbled wood chips.
The new swing sets were anchored in place with concrete caissons, to insure many years of maintenance free use for all the children to enjoy.
Alpine worked with the City of Wheat Ridge to design a pass through retaining wall system, where there use to be a Hugh mound in the sod.
This allowed the children an easy and fun transition for them to access all the new playground equipment without having to go through the grassy area to get there.
